Last Friday night Austin took me out on a date!
His Christmas present to me was dinner out, just him and I. We went to my favorite restaurant Cimmiyotti's and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. He's holding a clam which was one of our appetizers. I loved his comment "the food just keeps coming!" This was his first dinner out to a restaurant that offers cloth napkins and courses. We had several people stop and comment on how handsome my date looked. We both dressed up and he even paid! It was a special night and we should do it more often!
Finally bought a canopy!
Chris has had his truck for 7 years and for most trips we always comment "we could really use a canopy!" The mega cab is spacious but usually won't hold all the stuff we want to keep dry. So he found this one used & the exact same color! Then a day later he found a silver one, in excellent condition for a fraction of what he paid for this one. So actually we have 2 now! He will try and sell the silver one to off set the price of the red one.
Superbowl Sunday!
We are not football people, but when the biggest game is on, we wanted to watch it. Fox was streaming it on-line, so we moved the computer screen into the living room. Amazing how you get used to a big screen tv. The computer monitor is about 23" and seemed so tiny, but worked great. We watched the game and hid the kids eyes for some of the commercials. One more reason we don't pay for cable tv!
A little snow!
Evan wanted to play in the snow but only lasted a short while before he came in saying "I'm freezing!"
With subzero temperatures Dakota the outside dog comes inside. He loves it and I have to boot him out the door or use a treaty so he will go outside to take a break. He's showing his age and moves very slow, so I've been giving him asprin the past few days. It seems to be helping.
